I applied for a maternity support job with a closing date of the 6th of April. I never heard anything back. Has anyone applied for jobs through the NHS before and if so how long do they take to get in touch. Even if I wasn't successful I think just a letter to say would have been helpful!

I've applied for a job through NHS jobs and often it says in tue details somewhere if you don't hear a reply within x amount of weeks youve been unsuccessful.

They won't send out letters as they tend to use the online system, have you checked your NHS jobs inbox?

Actually it takes weeks and weeks to hear bk I applied In the Oct heard something in the dec had interview in the end of dec n didn't start till the feb, that is normal. You will heard a interview via email. I wouldn't worry about it.

When I applied for my NA bank position on NHS Careers, it said that if I hadnt heard within 3 weeks - then I had not been shortlisted....
