Description of event:Sands, Bliss and the Royal College of Midwives are proud to announce the 4th successive annual conference in what has become a well-established series of educational events.
Building on the success of 2009, 2010 and 2011, the 2012 programme is aimed at improving the knowledge base of today’s health professionals, who are faced with critical illness, loss and bereavement in the delivery of maternity and neonatal care.
Recognising the need for additional support for such professionals - both in and out of the workplace - the host organisations launched an eNetwork in 2009 to facilitate information exchange and peer to peer support. This network now reaches almost 1000 professionals, providing support and advice on the many challenges faced by professionals today.
This year’s conference has a new and varied programme designed to inform and support staff. It includes parents talking about their experiences as well as information from practitioners on a wide variety of topics.
