I've started a thread about stillbirth which was promoted by amanda holdens loss. We heard the news when I was with my partner and he said "thats like a proper baby isn't it, at that age?".

We sat there and discussed it and neither of us could imagine what we would do or hwo we would feel if we lost a baby at that gestation.

Sadly I know a few women who have lost babies at this late stage, it's more common than anyone would like to think.

It is very sad. Don't forget Kym Marsh lost her baby not so long ago at about 6 months....

Someone I "know" from another forum found out her baby has died at 38 week gestation today. She went to the OB on Thursday to talk induction (she has diabetes) and he scanned her and said the placental flow was not very good so he would scan her again on Tuesday but her baby boy's head was too high for an induction straight away. Today she had her scan and her baby's heart had stopped beating. Just devastating.
